Trustees

Knowsley Carers Centre is a limited company and is a registered charity. As such it is governed by a constitution and memorandum of association and run by a trustee board/board of directors who employ the staff and who are legally responsible for activities.

Knowsley Carers Centre employs members of staff to carry out its activities. The manager and the board are responsible for the strategic and operational activities of the organisation.

The trustee board/board of directors consists of a Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer with additional trustees.

Knowsley Carers Centre is managed by its Trustee Board, which is drawn from the local community and local carers. The members are charity trustees who have legal responsibility for general control and management. The board meets holds formal board meetings on a monthly basis.

They are actively involved in the governance of the organisation and take responsibility for strategy, policy matters and monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

In practice, day to day management is delegated to the Manager.
